ALASKA MISSION TRIP

March 4-10, 2027

Each March thousands of spectators cheer for 35-60 sled dog teams and mushers as they leave the starting line at Willow Lake, Alaska to begin the 1,000 mile race to Nome, Alaska. GraceWorks (www.graceworksak.com) volunteers have helped put on this Race Start for the past 18 years! This amazing event provides many opportunities to share our faith in Christ with people from all over the world. We will set up the starting course and then work as credentialed Iditarod volunteers putting on the Race Start. This involves erecting signs and fencing, assisting with directing traffic and managing vehicle flow in the parking lot, working race security, serving as dog handlers, cooking for the volunteers, and tearing down and cleaning up after the race start.  After the Iditarod Race, we will be serving the homeless community in Anchorage. The Iditarod volunteering portion of this mission is physically challenging. Please only sign up if you are in good health, mobile, and can work outside in the cold. Lodging requires climbing stairs.

Belize Mission Trip

BELIZE

JUNE 4-11, 2027

Come with us to Belize as we return to a community we’ve been investing in and building relationships with for years. This isn’t just a trip—it’s continuing a story of partnership, presence, and purpose. We’ll spend time loving on the children who come to the Children’s Ministry Center each day, building relationships, encouraging them, and simply showing up. We’ll also take part in what we call “Family Blessings”—visiting the local market to purchase staple items like cooking oil, sugar, salt, and flour to deliver to families who are struggling. It’s a tangible way to remind them they are seen, known, and cared for.  While this trip is great for handy men and women—since we often help improve the Children’s Ministry Center or maintain the mission house—our true emphasis is on being, not just doing.  So, no matter your skill set, you have a place on this mission team.

Attention medical professionals! Your skills are needed on our Panama Medical Mission team.

The clinic in Cieneguita exists to provide much-needed medical care to the Indigenous Ngäbe people of Panama. During our week-long medical clinics, our team typically serves 350–450 patients, providing care to individuals and families who have limited access to medical services.

We’re looking for medical professionals who are willing to use their skills and compassion to serve this community. Your time and expertise can make a meaningful difference.

Africa Gospel Church Baby Center

KENYA MISSION TRIP

October 7-21, 2027

Are you ready to be part of something bigger than yourself? Join our mission team as we travel to Ngata, Kenya, to serve Africa Gospel Church Baby Center—a loving refuge for abandoned and orphaned children who deserve hope, care, and a future. This is more than a trip. It’s an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ in a tangible way. At the Baby Center, you’ll help provide encouragement, and practical support to babies and children who have faced unimaginable hardship. Whether you’re holding a baby, assisting staff, helping with facility needs, or simply offering your presence and prayers, your impact will be eternal. You don’t need special skills—just a willing heart. God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are so much more than a box of goodies for children. Samaritan’s Purse calls them “GO” boxes – Gospel Opportunities. Many people do not know that every shoebox includes a booklet called “The Greatest Gift” that teaches children and their families (in their own language) that the greatest gift we could ever receive was given to us more than 2,000 years ago in the person of Jesus Christ. Every child that receives a shoebox is also given the opportunity to participate in a follow up 12-lesson bible study called “The Greatest Journey” which teaches children what it means to be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.

We encourage each of you to pack a shoebox this year. In fact, we challenge you to start now. Believe it or not, if you “pack year round” and watch for after holiday bargains like Easter bunnies for pennies on the dollar, you can actually pack a shoebox for under $20 including shipping and handling. Visit www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child for more information on how to pack a shoebox.
