In Pastor Bobbi’s sermon, she emphasized the importance of humbling ourselves before God and seeking His will over our own desires and wants. She shared a personal story about how she and her husband desperately wanted a job opportunity and disregarded the warnings God gave them. However, God graciously closed the door, protecting them from a life of turmoil and uncertainty. Pastor Bobbi encouraged her congregation to reflect on their own desires and petitions before God and to seek His will before their own. She invited everyone to humble themselves before God and seek His will, either at the altar or at their own seat, before partaking in communion.
